Southend Champions demolished Southend Panthers with the collective effort from their bowlers at Southend Club.
Southend Panthers batted first and were off to a shaky start as they lost 2 early wickets. With already on the backfoot, Southend panthers required a stable partnership. Rehan and Waris got together and formed a little partnership. Waris in particular of the two was looking in great touch as he smashed the bowlers around during his cameo of 19 before he was undone by Khurram Karim, Rehan Sheikh was a little slower in the partnership as he scored 23 of 33. Once the partnership was broken, Southend Champions then never allowed Southend Panthers to come back in the game as they restricted them to just 106. Khurram Karim and Waqas Ahmed shared 2 wickets each and were very economical.
The target was a modest one but the start for Southend Champions was not the ideal one as they also lost 2 quick wickets, this gave Southend Panthers a bit of hope but they were not able to take advantage of the situation as Mohsin Lakho was joined by Mohsin Gheewala and they both together added more than 60 runs during their stay.
