The 32nd Corporate Challengers Cup featured a clash between the Civil Aviation Authority and the Karachi Boat Club.
Civil Aviation batted first and completely demolished the opposition's bowling unit. Openers Nadeem Badar and Aqeel Doger got off to a flyer. Aqeel Doger's fantastic innings of 59 off 34 set the platform for the middle order to launch later on. Muhammad Arshad at No. 3 stood tall to score a ravishing 82 from 46 deliveries, striking 5 fours and 6 sixes. Umar Riaz supported his effort with 43 runs of his own from 21 balls. The pair remained not out at the end, as the Karachi Boat Club bowlers had no answers for the batting onslaught. The first innings closed with 208 runs on the board at a loss of only 2 wickets.
Karachi Boat Club never looked like they were in the game throughout the second innings. The bowlers dominated, keeping the scoring rate around 7 an over. None of the batsmen were able to cross the 30-run mark, with Yasir Farooqui's 28 from 16 being the highlight of this batting effort. Jahanzaib Khan was the pick of the bowlers, securing 2 wickets for just 17 runs in his 4 overs. By the end of Karachi Boat Club's 20-over struggle, the batsmen managed just 142 runs.
Civil Aviation Authority won the match by a hefty margin of 66 runs.
