Cocoon Home batted first in this encounter and were off to a dream start thanks to the blistering opening stand between Maaz Ismail and Bilal Chinioty. Both were in great touch and were hitting the ball cleanly, there was no stopping them and they were very little troubled during their stay. Maaz scored 67 off just 48 balls with 3 big sixes and 5 fours whereas Bilal Chinioty scored 68 off 57 balls with 1 six and 6 boundaries. They batted for major part of the innings and gave a great platform for the rest of the batsmen to end on a high. Though, there were not much big shots after the openers but Anas Ahmed’s little cameo of 13 boosted the morale of the team and they ended on 167 in their 20 overs.
The score was not out of reach of Haseen Habib but they needed someone to stick around the entire innings but that was not the case for them. Cocoon Home came strongly at the opposition and Abdullah Saleem upfront removed 3 batsmen and bowled an inspiring spell as he gave away just 19 in his 4. Abdullah set the tone for the innings and rest followed him, the innings was going nowhere for Haseen Habib, they struggled throughout. Naimat and Bilal also contributed with 2 wickets each. The batting was a big disappointment from Haseen Habib and they were beaten comprehensively by 71 runs.
