In a friendly match played at the TMC Ground, PARCO Blues faced Reckitt and Benckiser in a match that saw the former team come out on top with a comfortable win.
PARCO Blues batted first and were off to an assertive start with opener Rizwan Danish scoring an explosive 39 runs in only 23 balls at a strike rate of 170. Fellow batsman, Mehmood Shah also pitched in with a solid 19 ball knock of 20 runs to put his team into a strong position. The Reckitt and Benckiser bowlers fought back into the game with 2 quick wickets each from Muhammad Sharjeel Butt and Muhammad Tahir Najam. However, for the Blue's Habib Ullah scored a magnificent 40 runs in 30 balls to propel them to a competitive score of 168 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets.
Reckitt and Benckiser started their chase with openers Sheraz Rana scoring 17 runs in 15 balls while Ahmed Durrani could only manage 7 runs in 13 balls. The PARCO Blues bowlers dominated the second innings with Meer Mehmood, Mohammad Khalil and Munawar Ali picking up 2 wickets each. Middle order batsman Mohammad Tahir Najam top scored with 19 runs in only 10 balls. Reckitt and Benckiser could only manage 79 runs in 14 overs before they were bowled out.
PARCO Blues won the match by 89 runs.
