Crushers v DMC Hawks
Crushers played DMC Hawks at UBL cricket ground and the match turned out to be a high scoring game as Crushers batted first and managed to score 220 runs for loss of just 6 wickets in 20 overs. Despite losing opener Noman Arshad for a duck, the rest of the batsmen all contributed to ensure their team reached a very good total at the end. Danish Hanif was the pick of the batsmen with 55 runs off just 23 balls at an amazing strike rate of 239%. His innings included two sixes and five boundaries. Hassan Umer got 36 off 19 not out while Faisal Asghar got 23 runs off just 12 balls. Other key contributors were Danish Saleem with 27 runs off 26 balls and Gohar Anwar with 26 runs off just 14 balls. For Hawks, Kashif Mushtaq got 3 wickets while Romaan, Fazal and Hasan got a wicket each.
DMC Hawks also started in similar fashion to Crushers as they lost opener Hasan Naeem for a duck. However, rest of the batsman were not to be subdued and they continued attacking as Kashif Mushtaq got 32 runs off 13 balls, Safi Qamar got 63 runs off 34 balls, Tayyab Nadeem got 46, Abdul Rahim 26 and Romaan 17. However, despite their immense efforts, Hawks fell short in the end by 12 runs as they could only get to 208 for 8 wickets in the end. For Crushers, Gohar Anwar was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets for just 13 runs while Ali and Tariq got a wicket each and there were 3 run outs.
