Dawson stars batted first and were off to a very brisk start as Ahmed and Haider the openers thrashed the bowlers and utilized the power play to its fullest. Ahmed Nawaz specifically was in blistering mood as he struck 4 boundaries in his quick innings of 23 of just 11 balls, his partner scored 28 of 22. After them Ali khan joined the party and he started in a positive fashion and gradually build his innings and scored some crucial runs for his side. With 3 big sixes and 3 boundaries he scored 63 of 52 balls. After him there was not much contributions and Okhai Memon Jamat bowlers came back well to restrict the batting side to a modest 149.
Okhai Memon Jamat in response did not bat as expected as the Dawson Stars bowlers came hard at them right from the start dismissing quick early wickets. They were going nowhere until Saqib and Bilal came in and gave some stability to the batting order with their crucial partnership. Saqib scored 33 and Bilal was in astonishing touch as he scored 58 of just 28 with 6 sixes. At one stage he was looking in threatening mood and it was looking as if he will take his side over the line but Madni held his nerve to dismiss him which gave Dawson an opening and they went through the rest of the batting order to win by 10 runs.
