Diamond XI batted first with opener M. Yousuf stealing the show with a wonderful knock of 64 runs. The rest of the team however were unable to stay on their crease and lost wickets frequently. Atif Hanfi was perhaps the only other notable contributor for his side, scoring a cameo of 34 runs. Friends XI bowlers supported each other, taking wickets and containing the flow of runs. Diamond XI eventually posted a total of 169 in 20 overs.
Friends XI had a rough day with the bat and were outdone by a fantastic display of bowling by Diamond XI. The team lost wickets frequently, unable to face the aggression of the bowlers. Eventually only Sabih gave his team a fighting chance, scoring 59 runs at strike rate of 236 but received no support from the rest of his side. Raheel was the key wicket taker, doing maximum damage with 3 wickets and was supported by Yaseen who also put a dent to the opposition's innings with 2 scalps to his name. It was M.Yousuf however who had a fantastic day with both bat and ball, causing further injury with an unplayable bowling spell, resulting in 2 big wickets. Friends XI were bowled out for 160 in 19.2 overs.
