Sharks C.C Vs Gulshan becks (20 Over Match)
The high drama action packed match ended in a tie played at Baqai University.
It was a thrilling match played at Baqai University with no team wanted to give up and in the end the fixture went to the last ball where Vicky Ali of Gulshan Becks tried to steal an extra single of the last ball but to no avail as he was run out with scores tied.
Earlier, fine 30's from Javed and Haris had resurrected Sharks CC hopes after Usman was dismissed of 0 of the first ball of the match. Other than them Rehan and Abdul Wasi scored 20's but no one could really score big. On the other hand, Atif of Sharks CC bowled four magnificent overs on the trot, with mastery of the seam and impeccable control. He was supported equally by other bowlers which meant that Shark CC could only manage to score 148 of their 20 overs.
After the great bowling performance from their bowlers, Gulshan Becks batsmen could not provide their side with a start they wanted. Kamran Ahmed was dismissed for a duck and then Rufi and Kamran Siddique got together and scored some important runs for their side. Rufi was in fine touch and scored the only 50 of the match of just 33 whereas Kamran played a slow innings of 27 runs. Both batsmen were dismissed by Usman. The match was perfectly in the balance when Taha Abid and Vicky Ali came to the middle. Both sides did not want to give up and it was best possible advertisement for cricket's fledgling format. The match went to the last ball and that is when Vicky Ali tried to steal and extra run but was run out in the process to leave his side exactly on the same score as Sharks CC of their 20 overs.
