Karachi Patriots v Eagles Cricket Club
5th Residence Cup (18 over match)
Karachi Patriots batted first but never took off at any point of the innings. The team started off shaky and lost wickets through out with only Ritchie (29) and Adeel Abbasi (22) making any kind of contribution for their side. Eagles bowlers did well to restrict the score with Khizer Ansari being the key bowler for their side picking up 2 wickets. Karachi Patriots set a target of 135 in 18 overs.
In response Eagles Cricket Club were off to a disastrous start as Ansar Bhesani ripped through both openers for just 1 run. Wickets fell regularly as the Patriots bowlers fought hard to defend their total before Madni stepped in to lead the recovery for his side. His 65 runs was the match winning knock the Eagles were looking for and they chased the target down in 17.2 overs.
