EFU General beat Century Insurance by 12 runs at the Eastern Star Ground this week.
EFU General batted first and put 171 on the scoreboard in 20 overs for the loss of four wickets. Ahmed Nawaz made 68 from 47 and Arsalan Ashraf made 28 from 22 as the two highest scorers of the innings. Ammar Anwar, Aamir Abbas, Danish Ahmed and Shahid Haroon took one wicket each.
Rameez Mehboob was looking to guide century insurance to victory but unfortunately he was retired hurt at 86 from 50. A quick succession of falling wickets saw Century Insurance at 159 in 20 overs for the loss of five wickets. Zunair Mehmood, Nadeem Baig and Tahir Zaman took one wicket each.
