Rangoonwala CC went up against Eaton CC at the action packed final of the Royal Premier League (RPL). Eaton CC batted first but the team struggled to get runs on the board losing quick wickets early on. Opener Aashir Ahmed and Anop Ravi were the only 2 players to show any kind of fight with knocks of 42 and 43 runs respectively. Rangoonwala bowlers did well to restrict the opposition, keeping the pressure on throughout the innings as Eaton CC ended at a modest 158 for 7 in 20 overs.
In response, Rangoonwala CC opener Ejaz Shah was unstoppable with a match winning 82 not out off just 44 balls to thrust his team to victory. One down Nadeem Javed did well to contribute on the other end with a valuable 49 and was unlucky to be dismissed before reaching his half century. Gulazaman took 2 wickets for Eaton CC but it wasn't enough to stop the flow of runs. Rangoonwala CC chased down the target in 16 overs.
Rangoonwala CC won by 6 wickets and were crowned champions.
