Extras batted first against Super Daddy Cricket Club at the Bold presents 1st KK Amateur League this past Saturday. Openers Jibrail Khan and Atif Ahmed lead the charge, scoring a valuable 50 off 27 and 31 off 23 runs respectively to set the foundation for their side. Irfan Roshan then fell cheaply for just 11 runs before Bilal Hayat Khan stepped up with an impressive 45 off 35 to boost Extras to 174 for 8 in 20 overs. Daddies bowlers continued to make inroads with Adnan Amjad, Abid Malik and Abdullah taking a combined 7 wickets.
In response, Super Daddy CC lost their openers cheaply and were never truly able to take off after that. Adeel Mansha, Abid Malik, Shehryar Qadir and Shahzad Jumani all chipped in with cameos in their twenties but were unable to capitalize any further. Extras bowlers did well to restrict the opposition with Sufiyan Arshad leading the attack with his 3 wickets while Shoaib Ali picked up a couple. Super Daddy CC ended at 151 for 7 in 20 overs.
Extras won by 23 runs.
