Extras batted first against Karachi Boat Club at the Bold presents 1st Khelo Amateur League. Extras lost opener Irfan Roshan and one down Shoaib Ali cheaply but Atif Ahmed and Bilal Hayat Khan were determined to save their side. Atif contributed a handy 51 off 34 while Bilal kept the momentum going with 52 off 41. Hamza Kheshgi also chipped in with a quick 20 off 14 as Extras posted a competitive 173 for 7 in 20 overs. Boat Club's bowlers did well to pick wickets early on but couldn't capitalize further. Hammad was the key wicket taker for their side with 2.
In response, Karachi Boat Club (KBC) were never really in the game. Opener Farhan Shah's dismissal on duck sparked a collapse with the team throwing away their wickets cheaply. Abdul Rehman however was in fine form, playing a completely different game than the rest of his side. He scored an impressive 70 off 48 including 9 fours and 1 six. Faraz Paracha also chipped in 15 off 14 but the side needed a real partnership to get over the line. Extras bowlers did well to pick wickets consistently with Shoaib Ali leading the attack with his 3 and Sufiyan Arshad, Hassan Sadiq and Usama taking 2 wickets each. KBC were bowled out for 131 in 17.1 overs.
