Karachi All Stars batted first against Tempo CC at Public Ground. The team lost opener Sheriyar Niazi for just 8 runs but his partner Faraz Wahid and one down Yousuf Amir put up a good fight. Faraz knocked 29 but Yousuf was the real star of the show. His brilliant knock of 67 came of just 44 balls and included 6 boundaries and 5 sixes. The team lost wickets in intervals but kept the momentum going with Asad Mehdi contributing a a fiery 25 lower down the order. Tempo CC bowler Musaif was the most notable bowler with 2 wickets as Karachi All Stars ended at 178 for 6 in 20 overs.
In response, Tempo CC were off to a disastrous start, losing a string of wickets in the top order in single digits. Opener Ahsan however put on a valiant effort in his 51 run innings which kept his teams hopes alive. Shahid tried to keep him company with 25 but the team simply imploded. Faraz Wahid and Muhammad Amir were the key culprits with 3 wickets each that ripped the chasing sides batting line up. Tempo CC were limited to just 158.
