Royal Stars and Abu Bakar XI faced each other this past Saturday with Abu Bakar batting first. Openers Ghayas and Ahad were dismissed early on, leaving Abu Bakar reeling before Talha and Ali stepped in to lead the recovery with knocks of 31 and 21 respectively. Fahad Hussain kept the momentum going with his 26 and Danish Naveed contributed with 16. Royal Star bowlers however kept their form giving away nothing with Hammad Masood leading the attack with 2 wickets. Waleed, Sajid, Shaheer and Sohail also picked up a wicket each. Abu Bakar XI ended at 117 for 7 in 20 overs.
In response Royal Stars found a hero in Fawad Hassan whose 67 run knock singlehandedly took his side to victory. None of the other batsmen were even able to reach double digits. Royal Stars chased down the target in 19.1 overs. Ali, Maaz, Inam, Ghayas and Ammad took a wicket each.
