Fawad and Shoaib’s heroics with the bat helped their side to a massive victory against Habib Metro.
A brilliant partnership between Fawad and Shoaib turned out to be game changer in the end. The two middle order batsmen together smashed 7 sixes and contributed more than 100 runs. Atlas Pakistan who batted first lost their openers quite early and this is when Fawad and Shoaib got together and with them the carnage began. Fawad was the highest scorer of the innings with his 70 of just 38 balls which included 5 brutal sixes, Shoaib was not far behind with his brilliant 56 of just 37 with 2 sixes. Both batsmen target each bowler but most specifically Imran Zahir who was the highest wicket taker but also went for plenty, but it was Imran who had the last laugh as he picked up both batsmen but not before they did the damage to take their side to a very challenging 198.
With too much to chase, Habib Metro required a flying start but instead the pressure of chasing got to them and they lost crucial initial wickets which held them back. Ali and Imran tried to rescue the sinking ship with their scored of 44 and 36 but unfortunately that effort was not enough as other batsmen did not support them and Atlas Pakistan bowlers were all over them. Haris and Ahnaf were the pick of the bowlers as they picked up 3 wickets each to restrict Habib Metro to just 163 for 9, Habib Metro were one player short so they that is how the game ended and Atlas won comfortably by 35 runs.
