Ansari CC were up against the United Fighters in the KMPL Night Tournament.
Ansari CC came out to bat first, opening with Sunny and Imran Zoni. The batting proceedings began steadily as the top and middle order contributed with useful 20+ scores. The ever-reliable Daniyal Liaquat scored productively yet again, securing 30 from 19 deliveries. From the bowling side, Shehbaz Captain stood out among the wickets, securing 3 for 19 runs. Despite his tidy efforts, Ansari CC posted 155 on the board, setting up a steep chase for the United Fighters.
United Fighters struggled to prove equal to the task of chasing down this target. The openers fell early to some disciplined bowling. After the top order's disappointing display, Rao Waqas put his hand up, scoring a proficient 36 off 22. His lone effort, however, was not enough to conquer the bowling side. Waseem Akram and Hassan Nawab slowed down the chase, picking three wickets each. Their combined bowling display allowed Ansari CC to bowl out the opposition for 124 in 19.4 overs.
As United Fighters fell well short of the target, Ansari CC won the match by 31 runs.
