Fighters Emerge Victorious In Easy Chase

Masaqa CC went up against the United Fighters in the KMPL Night Tournament.

In the first innings, Masaqa CC came out to bat and got off to a very shaky start. Both openers departed quickly, courtesy some excellent bowling from Muhammad Arsalan. Muhammad Sabir at No. 3 fought a lone battle in trying to set a decent target. His 91 off 59 was a commendable effort that gave Masaqa CC a fighting chance. Unfortunately, no other batsman stuck around to support Sabir as wickets kept on falling. Uzair Ahmed's 4 wickets for 21 runs was the highlight of United Fighter's bowling. His impressive figures contributed to Masaqa CC being restricted for just 141 runs after 20 overs.

Chasing 142, United Fighters batsmen began their proceedings relatively slow. Ahmed Sharjeel dismissed both openers for 10 runs each, creating a dent in the batting line-up early on. Muhammad Arsalan at No. 3 then played a sensible hand, securing a half century off 43 deliveries. His stable batting was accompanied by Muhammad Sabir's classy 41 off 32. This partnership proved to be vital as United Fighters were able to get over the line inside 18 overs.

United Fighters easily won the match by 7 wickets.
