Friends Cricket Club took on Moin Khan XI at the MKCA on 14-11-2015.
Friends elected to bat first and put on a splendid batting display up front. Openers Iqbal and Danish Elahi put up a 50 run stand to kick off the innings scoring 29 and 61 of 33 balls respectively. However, 2 silly run outs created a pathway for Moin Khan to come back in to the game before Atif Ahmed came in to bat. He smashed an unbelievable 113 of just 49 balls, hitting 12 boundaries and 2 massive sixes. His tremendous knock took Friends to an unprecendented 247 in their 20 overs at a run rate of 12.35.
Moin Khan came out all guns blazing as openers Adnan and Ameer put up a 100 run partnership up front. Anus also contributed 39 at number 3 but from then on it was all the Friends Cricket Club. Sherry Shah, Aman Jafri and Maaz Khurram triggered a batting collapse getting all the remaining 7 wickets for just 50 runs, ensuring that Moin Khan fell 53 runs short of their target.
