Suriya Fighters batted first & got off to a shaky start as they lost three early wickets, putting them under pressure. Opener Bilal Aslam showed resilience and played a crucial knock of 41 runs off 36 deliveries, providing some stability to the innings. Hamza Shahnawaz also contributed with a quickfire 26 off 21 balls. Unfortunately, the rest of the Suriya Fighters’ batting lineup collapsed under the relentless attack from the GFS bowlers. Sami Imtiaz Thara was the star performer with the ball for GFS Builders & Developers, taking an impressive 4 wickets. Jibran Rizwan provided excellent support, picking up 3 wickets. Abdul Basit Jakwani and Abdul Rafay also chipped in with a wicket each. Suriya Fighters were eventually bowled out for a modest total of 127 runs in 19.5 overs.
Chasing the target, GFS Builders & Developers had a strong start with their openers Shahriyar Shahid and Abdul Mateen Jakwani. Shahriyar played a brilliant innings, scoring 61 runs off 48 deliveries, setting a solid foundation for the team. Abdul Mateen contributed 20 runs off 32 balls. Although GFS lost a few wickets during the chase, Hasan Raza and Muhammad Saif played sensible innings, scoring 14 off 17 and 15 off 11 balls respectively. Their partnership helped GFS Builders & Developers comfortably reach the target.
