Gigi Gladiators batted first against Classic Garment Raptors and lost opener Shakir Serang for just 2 runs. The team however recovered well after that with Daniyal Liaquat knocking a cameo of 22 runs before Owais Rehmani and Saad Asif took over the show. Owais was in top form, scoring 64 off just 53 balls and remained not out throughout the innings. Saad played a fluid, valuable 48 off 37 as Gigi Gladiators ended at 156 for 5 in 20 overs. Raptors bowlers tried to stop the flow of runs and picked up a few handy wickets but were never able to steer the momentum in their favour and apply any real pressure. Imran Idress and Kamil Mehmood took 2 wickets each.
In response, Classic Garment Raptors lost opener Ismail Shah for duck and seemed to crumble after that. With the exception of Bilal Aslam who contributed an impressive half century knock, none of the other batters could provide him with any support and simply threw away their wickets. Gigi bowlers were on song with Daniyal Liaquat, Hamza Qadir and Zohaib Baghdadi all chipping to take 2 wickets each. Classic Garments were restricted to 137 for 9 in 20 overs.
