Arif Zaidi and Waheed's quickfire 50's proved too much for SSGC as they lost by a huge margin of 131 runs.
The match was played at IBA where Gold Bridge Media batted first. They did not get the ideal start as they lost Mukhtar Ahmed just for 2 runs and his opening partner Kamran Hussain was also dismissed for 18 of 13. Rizwan Qureshi was then joined by Arif Zaidi they both contributed heavily and scored aggressively. SSGC bowlers were smashed around the park by both the batsmen. After they were dismissed Waheed came in and he started where they left. Rizwan, Arif and Waheed made 44,54 and 62 respectively.
SSGC was never in the game and their 2nd inning started in more miserable way than the 1st. Wickets fell in a heap , Kamil khan bowled a marvellous spell for Gold Bridge Media picking up 3 top order wickets just by giving 14 runs in his 4 overs. Other bowlers also contributed as Waheed and Dr.Noman were also among wickets and picked by 2 each.
SSGC top order failed and their lower middle order was left with too much to do. Only 2 batsmen were able to score in double figures. They were finally put out of their misery when Asif Agha the last batsman was bowled by Ahsan Shakoor and they were dismissed for just 74 runs.
Gold Media Bridge in the end won the match comfortable by 131 runs.
