KDA Friends batted first and were put on the backfoot from the very beginning, the opening bowling pair from Gold Bridge Media were on top from the start and they kept the pressure on the top order. Kamil Mehmood picked up 1 wicket for just 18 runs whereas Ahsan Shakoor was in brilliant form and dismissed 3 crucial wickets for just 21 runs in 4 overs. The start was brilliant from the Gold Bridge Media bowlers and they kept the pressure on throughout the innings. They did not allow much to KDA Friends, who were desperate for some quick runs, but the bowling was too good from the bowlers. After the early heroics, Faheem Ahmed contributor with his spell and it was a great contribution from him as he picked up 3 wickets for just 15 runs and was the most effective bowler, Faisal Saleem also picked up 2 wickets in his 4 over spell. Such was the dominance of the bowlers that none of the batsmen could manage to score over 20 and in the end, they were restricted to a modest 113.
The chase was a modest one and Gold Bridge Media batsmen were confident of chasing the score down after a brilliant bowling display from their bowlers. Kamran Hussain started the chase in confident fashion as he played with a strike rate of 150 but could not bat for long and was dismissed by Muhammad Kamran for 15. Next in was Mukhtar Ahmed and Matee UR Rehman they build a solid partnership in the middle which put them on top. It was not the quickest of partnerships but it was one well thought out. Mukhtar scored a valuable 49 off 55 balls whereas his partner Matee UR Rehman scored 45 off 48 balls with two majestic fours. KDA Friends were never really in the hunt of winning the game and even after dragging the game till the 19th over they were beaten comfortably by 8 wickets.
