Bayer Pakistan came in to bat first & were off to a shaky start. Despite loosing a couple of wickets early on they were scoring at a healthy rate. Tabish Ali Ghouri & Imran Mahmood put up some sort of a partnership before Imran Mahmood departed after scoring 14 runs off 12 deliveries. Omer Hussain came in & he played with the same momentum. He & Tabish Ali Ghouri put up a partnership of 50+ runs. The duo scored boundaries at regular intervals keeping the score board ticking. Tabish Ali Ghouri departed after scoring 33 runs off 38 deliveries. The bowlers managed to pickup a couple of quick wickets in the death overs. Omer Hussain remained not out as he played a sublime knock of 67 runs off 56 deliveries. Hasan Zameer, Shaikh Rafay, Usama Sajid & Muhammad Nameer Alam picked up a wicket each. Bayer Pakistan posted a total of 144 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
Group M Pakistan came in to chase this target & were off to a shaky start. Despite loosing 3 wickets early on they were scoring at a high rate. Ali Haider played a cameo of 20 runs off 9 deliveries giving their side an accelerating start. Shaikh Rafay played a solid knock of 26 runs off 25 deliveries. The bowlers kept on picking up wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. The middle order collapsed as the bowlers tightened their grip over the game. Batsmen came in & got their starts but were unable to convert them into a big innings. Ghulam Murtuza & Muhammad Aftab then put up a partnership of 50+ runs late in the innings taking their team over the line. Ghulam Murtuza scored 27 off 22 where as Muhammad Aftab scored 25 runs off 19 deliveries. Bilal Akhtar lead the bowling lineup picking up 3 wickets. Babar Ali managed to pickup a couple of wickets as well but were unable to stop the flow of runs.
