Breakthru came in to bat first & were off to a shaky start. Despite loosing a couple of wickets inside the powerplay they were scoring at healthy rate. Affan Alvi & Hassan Ahmed put up a decent partnership at the top with Hassan Ahmed scoring 15 off 14 & Affan Alvi played a fiery innings of 44 runs off 24 deliveries. Once the partnership was broken the bowlers dominated through out the innings. The bowlers kept on picking up wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. Batsmen came in & got their starts but were unable to convert them into a big innings. Fahad Anwar scored run a ball 17, Hammad Khan scored 18 off 16 & Hammad Anwar scored 12 off 8. Ali Ahmed Khan also contributed with his 12 off 7. Ali Haider & Yousuf Imam lead the bowling attack picking up 3 wickets each. Muhammad Nameer Alam managed to pickup a couple of wickets as well. Breakthru were bowled out for 148 runs.
Group M Pakistan came in to chase this target & were off to a flying start. Their openers Ali Haider & Zakir Bilal put up a fiery partnership at the top giving their team a solid start. Ali Haider scored 23 runs off 22 deliveries where as Zakir Bilal scored run a ball 43 runs. Shaikh Rafay came in & he played with the same intent as he scored 36 runs off 27 deliveries. Bilal ahmed scored 13 off 12 & Ghulam Murtuza scored 14 off 8 taking his team over the line. Affan Alvi managed to pickup a couple of wickets but it was too big of a task for him to achieve alone.
