Gulberg Gymkhana and Direwolves went against each other on 11th December at Gulberg Gymkhana Ground.
Muhammad Zubair Arif and Navaid Iqbal opened the innings for Direwolves, scoring 15 and 1 run respectively. Ahmed Liaquat, the one-down batter, came to the crease and stabilised the innings. He scored 58 off 39. Ahmed Qaiser and Ali Aamir added 20+ runs to the score each. Hassan Jafri was phenomenal with the ball, as he thrashed 6 wickets. In addition to this, Atif Ali took 2 wickets. Hence, Direwolves posted a total of 157 runs at the loss of 10 wickets in 19.5 overs.
Hussain Abbas and Shafqat Ullah opened the innings for the chase. While Hussain scored 9 runs only, Shafqat smashed 64 runs at the strike rate of 168.42. Though Moiz Hassan and Faraz Nafees dismissed 2 batters each. However, they were unable to stop the batters. Asad Siddiqui and Tariq Mehmood played cameos of 20+ runs each.
Hence, Gulberg Gymkhana were led to a win by 4 wickets in 18.5 overs.
