Gulshan Becks Vs NCC (20 Over match)
Spirited performance with the bat followed by a fine bowling performance from Gulshan Becks ensured their victory in a one sided encounter against NCC.
Gulshan Becks batted first and were off to an ideal start as their openers Ali and Kamran attacked the bowlers from over number 1. Both batted with intent and with their power hitting they put early pressure on the bowlers. With 2 sixes Ali Manzar scored 42 and Kamran managed to score a blistering 50 which included one six. The momentum provided by the opening pair was carried forward by the middle order and later on ended in fine style by Waqas and Taha. With these efforts Gulshan Becks scored 210 in their 20 overs.
It was a huge target for NCC and they knew it. They got a good start given by Hammad and Saad. Both batted for a while and started to threaten the Gulshan Becks bowlers but not for long as the partnership was broken which allowed the Gulshan Becks bowlers to make inroads. The good start was wasted by the middle order as Gulshan Becks tightened their grip on the match on the back of a fine bowling spell from Vicky Ali, he picked up 4 wickets and gave away only 15 runs. The regular fall of wickets never allowed NCC to dictate term in the match that was dominated by Gulshan Becks and in the end they won comfortably by 89 runs.
