GULSHAN STRIKERS vs FIGHTERS XI

Gulshan Strikers locked horns with Fighters XI in this nail biting encounter of the 6th Campaigner Trophy. Gulshan Strikers had a shaky start as they lost a few early wickets. But the innings was held together by Bilal and Affan who scored 37 and 43 runs respectively. The rest of the batting lot could not prove its mettle and kept on giving away their wickets. Muhammad Usman was the pick of the bowlers as he picked 3 wickets for just 7 runs. Gulshan Strikers scored 123 runs for the loss of 8 wickets after 20 overs.
Fighters XI were off to a dismal start as they geared up to chase the target. Both openers failed to provide a good start, thus increased a lot pressure. Shakeeb Advani held one end in his defensive innings which resulted in 15 runs off 24 balls. Aslam took advantage of Shakeeb’s assistance and went on to smash ah brilliant half century. Aslam scored 52 runs off 44 balls, but the rest of the batting lot failed to assist him and Fighters XI scored only 11 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. 3 wickets were picked up by Uzair while Usama contributed with 2 wickets. The match was won by Gulshan Strikers by 12 runs.
