Happy Palace Grammar School v Oasis English Secondary School
The all important final of the Karachi section of the A.H.Kardar Cup took place at RLCA Cricket ground. Oasis batted first and were immediately under pressure after losing opener Ibad for duck. Their innings stablilized with the help of Rashid and Mohsin who scored 22 and 28 runs respectively. The team however kept losing wickets in regular intervals as Palace's bowlers struck at key times. Sheriyar Zuberi was the star player with 3 wickets followed by Hash Ul Haq and Aman who also took 2 wickets each. None of the other batsmen were able to keep their wickets intact or the scoreboard ticking and Oasis were all out for 112 runs in 23.4 overs.
Happy Palace dominated throughout the innings with openers Hasan and Waqas contributing 21 and 10 respectively. Once the pair were dismissed, Zain and Muhadat propelled the momentum forward with 22 and an exceptional 42 to set up a comfortable victory for their side. Oasis bowlers were helpless against the opposition with wickets falling few and far between. Ibad, Talha and Abdul took 1 wicket each. Happy Palace chased down the target in 21.5 overs.
