Haseen Habib went up against Umer Enterprises in a close-fought game.
Haseen Habib batted first, as Nazim Wahab got them off to a promising start. He scored 44 off 38, partnering with Saqib Badar Hussain at No. 3. Saqib attacked from the other end and struck a blazing half century. He remained not out at 92 from 60 balls, propelling his team towards an excellent finish. Ali Raza managed to pick two wickets, but could not contain the economy rate as Haseen Habib registered a decent total of 190.
Umer Enterprises’ response began with several jitters at the top. The top three batsmen could not get past 10 runs, courtesy some disciplined bowling from Jawad Barry. Asif Izhar and Muhammad Waseem then formulated a partnership to get things going. Asif scored 88 off 56, and it looked like Umer Enterprises had the chase well under control while he was on the crease. However, the partnership was eventually broken, after which Umer Enterprises lost their way. The lower order could not contribute much as wickets kept tumbling. Jawad Barry knocked over 4 wickets for just 32 runs in his 5 overs. Although Umer Enterprises fought till the end, the batsmen fell just a few short of the target.
Haseen Habib won the game by 10 runs.
