Hawks and Karachi Stallions played each other as part of the 8th Residence Cup. Hawks batted first and Ali Mansoor Zaidi with 33 runs and Abdur Rehman with 66 runs were in prime form and got them off to a spectacular start. Saqlain then played an extraordinary aggressive knock of 62 runs off just 27 deliveries as he hit 8 sixes and 2 boundaries. Hawks ended at 223 for the loss of 8 wickets at end of 20 overs. For Stallions, Mustafa, Adnan and Hassan took 2 wickets each while Danish and Abdul Samad got a wicket.
In reply, Stallions lost Shahzad Anwar Arain for 4 runs but Abdul Samad with 36 stabilized the innings and Adnan with 23, Danish with 28 and Zohaib with 30 runs were notable contributors but Stallions eventually could only score 166 runs as net run rate continued to climb and wickets kept falling at regular intervals. For Hawks, Faraz scored 3 wickets while A Rehman and Adil got 2 wickets each and Idrees got a wicket.
Hawks won by 57 runs.
