HBL Head Office crowned champions

In the highly anticipated grand final of the 65th Challengers Corporate Cup, HBL Head Office batted first. Their innings got off to a shaky start with an early wicket, but opener Nauman Ur Rehman steadied the ship with a brilliant 52 off 39 balls. Unfortunately, he was the only notable batsman for HBL Head Office as the rest of the lineup managed to get starts but couldn’t convert them into big innings. Tariq Murad was the star for Faysal Bank with the ball, picking up an impressive 4 wickets, while Asif Ghouri and Talib Ali chipped in with 2 wickets each. HBL Head Office managed to post a total of 135/9.

In pursuit of the target, Faysal Bank also faced early setbacks, losing 2 wickets in the process. Opener Muhammad Nabeel Khalid showed promise with his 42 runs off 39 balls, and Talib Ali contributed with 22 runs off 22 balls. However, the rest of the batting lineup collapsed under the pressure of HBL Head Office’s bowling attack. Muhammad Nabeel, SHARAFAT HUSSAIN, and Nauman Ur Rehman combined to take 2 wickets each. Faysal Bank was eventually bowled out for 102 runs in 18.2 overs.

With a strong all-around performance, HBL Head Office emerged victorious, winning the grand final by a commanding margin of 33 runs, securing the 65th Challengers Corporate Cup title.
