Alpha CC batted first against Hill Park CC in a one sided affair of the 24th Challengers Cup.
Home ground advantage was very clear with Hill Park delivering with both bat and ball. Apha CC lost opener Syed Inam Agha for duck and the wickets continued to fall after that. With the exception of Abid Ali Shamsi's 48 and Daniyal Ahmed's 31, none of the other players seemed to show any intent with the side being skittled out for 137. Abdul Wali Shakeel was outstanding in his spell of 4 wickets while Asif Feroze picked up a couple.
In response, Waleed Khan lead the chase with an explosive 80 off 58 which included 2 sixes. Shah Hussain also contributed a handy 32 as Hill Park CC were safely home in 19.2 overs. Alpha bowlers could do nothing to stop the flow of runs.
Hill Park CC won by 7 wickets.
