Hussain Leads Warriors To Easy Win

United Stars matched up against Ridan Warriors in the 23rd Super Challengers Cup with Ridan Warriors claiming the final honors.

The United Stars batted first, with Azfar Khalid and Rameez opening the batting. After collectively contributing just 18 runs off 25 deliveries, both openers were sent back to the pavilion. Aqib Rizvi at No. 3 brought the innings back on track, scoring a classy half century off 39 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes to his name. Danish Ahmed and Muhammad Arsalan followed suit with crucial contributions with the bat. Although the Warriors managed to pick up just two wickets, they remained relatively economical throughout the innings, allowing United Stars to post just 147 on the board.

The second innings began with a blistering batting display from opener Fayyaz Hussain. His aggressive innings allowed other Warriors’ batsmen to steadily bat around him and chase down the target with ease. Hussain remained not out with 74 runs off just 47 deliveries. His effort was well complemented by middle order batsmen, Ali Iqbal and Anas Javed. United Stars’ bowlers could not cut off the run flow as the Warriors completed their chase in just 17 overs.

The Ridan Warriors won the game with 7 wickets to spare.
