IAL Smashers VS Karachi Shaheens
IAL Smashers batted first and were off to a flying start with their opening pair. Both batsmen looked menacing with their performance and scored big runs for the team. K.S Kami scored 83 runs just off 47 balls with 3 huge sixes and 12 boundaries. Ali Alvi supported his run and scored 30 runs. Ibad Anis and Muhammad Yousuf carried another great partnership by scoring 14 and 18 runs respectively. The bowlers were also doing their best to restrict the opposition from setting a huge target. Sumair Ali, Hamza Khan and Zeeshan Malik took 2 wickets each. By the end of 20 overs, IAL Smashers had scored a total of 206 runs.
Karachi Shaheens knew it was going to be a tough chase and their opening pair failed to handle the pressure and lost early wickets in the second innings of the match. Shayan Ali only scored 1 run and Umair Nasir scored 4 runs. The batting side was annihilated by the strong resistance put up by Rizwan Ahsan, Adnan Khan, Jawad Ali and Muhammad Yousuf, who not only contained the opposition right from the start but also kept on taking wickets throughout the match. Muhammad Yousuf took 3 wickets, rest took 2 wickets each. Sibghatullah Khatri managed to score 26 runs followed by Bilal Taak’s 36 runs knock. But that wasn’t enough to save the day for Shaheens and in 18.5 overs the entire batting order was dismissed at a total of 96 runs.
IAL Smashers won by 110 runs.
