ZMCC batted first and were off to a poor start losing quick wickets without much contribution from them. After the early losses, Sohail and Mubasshir got together and helped their side to come back into the contest with their partnership. They played cautiously to start with but gained momentum with every passing over. Mubasshir scored 20 whereas Sohail scored 47. After they were dismissed, Danish and Nemat batted together in the later stages and scored 30 and 10 respectively and took their side to a reasonable 147. Talha was the highest wicket taker as he picked up 2 wickets for 30 runs.
In response, ICT got off to a great start, thanks to their openers, Adeel and Talha. Both set up the platform nicely for rest of the batters with their fine batting Adeel was the highest scorer of the innings as well with his 43 whereas Talha scored 26. After the openers were dismissed, ZMCC came back strongly in the game and Danish and Zeeshan picked up 2 wickets each to peg ICT back. The middle order for ICT got starts but none could really convert those starts into something substantial. The game was heading to a close finish when Bilal Majeed was dismissed for just 2 runs but it was Shahzaib who held his nerve and scored a very crucial 11 to give his side victory of the last ball.
