INDUS MOTORS vs IDEAL SPORTS (20 OVER MATCH)
The clash between Indus Motors and Ideal Sports can be labelled as a game where you do not want to be a bowler. The high scoring match up was an ideal setting for those who want to see flashy fours and huge sixes. Indus Motors batted first and did not have the ideal start. Losing an opener on golden duck is a nightmare for any team. And that did had an effect on the one down batsman as well. But Imran Tahir and the rest of his clan had decided to start an assault. Imran scored an outstanding knock of 51 runs in just 25 balls with a strike rate of 204. He hit a total of 10 boundaries including three huge 6s. Usman scored valuable 37 runs in 27 balls to repair the damage. After Qaiser Zaman’s brisk knock of 20 runs, Asad Ali stole the show with his brilliant slogging. He scored 40 runs off just 24 balls with three 4s and two 6s. Zakir Taqi and Faisal Mahmood took 2 wickets each, and Majid Yaseen bagged one. Faisal Shahid’s deserved a wicket as he bowled excellently. In his economical spell he gave away only 19 runs in 4 overs. Indus Motors managed to score 168 after losing 5 wickets at the end of 20 overs.
Ideal Sports had a start similar to Indus Motors as they lost one of the openers before he could make an impact on the game. But soon they found themselves back into the game after a responsible partnership between Zakir Taqi and Kashif Hussain who scored 54 and 21 respectively. Zakir’s knock came off in 54 balls where he scored 5 fours. Indus Motors plans were demolished by a blistering knock of 68 runs in 32 balls played by Faisal Mahmood. He batted with an unreal strike rate of 212.5 with six 4s and four maximums. Shahrukh,Tanseer and Faisal Khan took one wicket each, but it was not enough to stop Ideal Sports from chasing the target in the 19th over.
Ideal Sports won the match by 7 wickets.
