Ilham Sports went against Mavericks at Asifabad Ground on 31st October.
While batting first Ilham Sports posted a total of 154 runs at a loss of 7 wickets. Openers Zain Ahmed and Amir Noorani were unable to make a significant mark, as they lost their wickets on 13 and 17 runs respectively. On behalf of Mavericks, the bowlers displayed a collective effort, as 6 of them took a wicket each. Taqi Azad was the highest scorer with his innings of 27 off 19. The lower-order played crucial cameos.
In response to Ilham Sports’ 154 runs, openers of Mavericks gave a steady yet slow start. Though Adnan Khan Niazi lost his wicket on 3 runs only, Muhammad Shahrukh scored 21 runs. The one-down batter, Amir Malik, stood to the crease till the end, playing a knock of 33. However, he was unable to receive support from the other end. Imran Sajjad, Imran Hussain PirBhai, Kazim Khanani and Mustafa Aman Ali bagged a wicket each.
Due to the collective bowling efforts of Ilham Sports, Mavericks were restricted to a score of 138 runs. Hence, Ilham Sports won by 16 runs.
