Ilham Sports batted first with their opener in fine form. Their openers gave them a flying start with Huzaifa Siddiqui scoring 39 & Ali Zain Haider playing a sublime knock of 82 runs off just 50 deliveries taking the bowlers to the absolute cleaners. The bowlers struggled to pickup wickets. Zohaib Hanif came in next & smashed a 34 ball 53 with Imran Sajjad who played a fiery innings of 23 runs off 13 balls. Fayyaz Khan, Salman Hussain & Uzair Ahmed picked up a wicket each but went for plenty. Ilham Sports posted a mammoth total of 205 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
United Stars came in to chase down this daunting target & were off to a decent start. Despite loosing 3 early wickets Bilal Aslam kept the press on the bowlers scoring at a quick rate. Ejaz looked promising but he too was dismissed on 26 runs. Bilal followed him soon after scoring a brilliant 38 ball 70 which included 5 towering sixes. Yahya Jawaid scored a fighting 31 but couldn’t find support from the other end as wickets kept tumbling in quick successions. Zohaib Hanif, Imran Sajjad, Haseeb Jawed & Kazim Khanani picked up a couple of wickets each.
