NJC Veterans played against IMI Omar at Eastern Star cricket ground. Veterans batted first and Zeeshan was in fine form as he hit 99 runs off 60 balls which included 8 boundaries and six sixes. He was unlucky to not get his century. He was assisted by Khurram who scored 24 runs and Tariq who got 33 runs while Waqar scored16 runs and the team ended at 191 for 5 in 20 overs. For IMI Omar, Rehan took 2 wickets while Badar, A Wahab and Fareeduddin picked up a wicket each.
In reply, it was a wonderful chase as IMI Omar started with Tahir Rasheed getting 66 off 46 and Nazim getting 20 off 16 balls. Anwar Baba departed for 3 runs and Abdul Wahab for 6 runs but Syed Raees and Adnan Hanif did not give up as Raees got 39 off 24 while Adnan Hanif hit a match winning 42 off just 19 balls at a strike rate of 221% and it included 4 huge sixes. His knock secured an improbable victory as IMI Omar got 192 for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of the complete 20 overs. A very thrilling encounter which ended with IMI Omar emerging as the eventual victors.
