Imtiaz Construction (Shaikhani) and Soldier CC went against each other on 22nd August at the Gulberg Gymkhana.
Soldier CC opened the first innings with Amir Ali and Muddasir. Where Amir got out on a duck, Mudassir was able to score 17 runs only. The batting efforts were poor, as batsmen fell to the bowlers tactics and lost wickets on fewer runs. Fahad Iqbal remained the highest scorer with 34 runs. The bowlers dominated, as Muhammad Anas Waheed bagged 4 wickets. In addition to this, Fayyaz Hussain Warsi and Salman Shaikhani bagged 3 wickets each. Hence, Soldier CC posted a low-scoring total of 105 runs only.
Bilal Aslam and Shahzaib Dyer opened the innings for Shaikhani. Aslam smashed 67 runs off just 26 balls, hitting 7 sixes and 4 fours. In addition to this, Dyer smashed 32 off 23. Both these innings easily drove Shaikhani to a win.
The bowlers were able to dismiss only 2 batsmen. Hence, Shaikhani won by 8 wickets.
