IMTIAZ SPORTS vs DAWN TITANS (RAMZAN LEAGUE)
This high scoring fixture of the Ramzan League was a treat for the spectators. Imtiaz Sports batted first and the start was nothing to be happy about. After losing the openers in quick succession Imtiaz Sports looked deep in trouble. But who knew that a dismal show by the top order will be followed by some serious hitting by the middle order. Dawood missed his well-deserved half century by just 3 runs, as he scored 47 runs off just 20 balls. His fellow Zaheer scored 36 runs off 16 deliveries. Muneeb picked up 2 wickets while Faizi got 1 wicket to his name. After 8 overs Imtiaz Sports ended up with 137 for 3.
It is a herculean task to chase a huge total. More than the opposition, it’s the great pressure which holds you back, and the same was evident in the Dawn Titans innings. Opening batsman Zoya scored 21 runs but he lacked support from the other end. Wickets kept on falling and so did Dawn Titans’ hopes of chasing this target. Zaheer bowled well as he claimed 2 wickets for 16 runs, he was supported by Asif and Dawood who took 1 wicket each. Sultan’s 17 runs off 14 balls and 20 extra runs were not enough for the Dawn Titans to chase the total. Imtiaz Sports won the match by 25 runs as Dawn Titans managed to score only 112 for 5 at the end of 8 overs.
