Intellegal XI v Young Fighters
Intellegal XI batted first and were off to a solid start with both openers Ali Jawad and Hamood contributing runs with the bat. The duo built a partnership of 70 runs before they were dismissed. Shiraz and Kamran then stepped in to take over where the others had left off with fiery innings of 52 and 30 that helped propel their team to post a sizeable target. Young Fighters bowlers tried to fight hard against the opposition, with Hammad and Ameen leading the attack, taking 2 wickets each. Intellegal XI set a target of 180 in 20 overs.
Young Fighters were off to a disastrous start in their chase with both openers being out for duck! The team were never able to recover, throwing away their wickets, unable to gain stability or contribute runs with the bat. Chand and Irfan were the only notable batsmen for their side, showing some resistance with scores in their 30s. Ghufran was the key culprit behind the implosion, picking up 3 wickets to dismantle the opposition. Raheel also did damage, taking 2 wickets. Affan tried hard with a late surge of 24 runs down the order but it wasn't enough to get his team over the line. Young Fighters were limited to 167 in 20 overs.
