Invincible Cricket Team (ICT) went against Sam Lands on 21st November at Asifabad Ground.
Batting first, ICT posted a mammoth total of 237 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. Their openers and one-down batter were unable to create a significant impact, as they scored only 5 runs collectively. However, it was Ibaad Khan who was ferocious and smashed 84 runs, hitting 6 fours and sixes each. In addition to this, Saad Faisal played an innings scoring a half century off just 30 balls. Mohammad Waqas’s 3 dismissals was unable to dent the momentum of ICT.
Sam Lands’ top- and middle-order batters did not show impeccable intent, as they lost wickets back-to-back. Muhammad Iqbal scored 56 runs at the strike rate of 207.41, hitting 5 fours and 4 sixes. In addition to this, Abdul Mohid also played a cameo of 41 runs. However, his innings were not enough, as the bowlers stood firm. Salman Dossani took 3 wickets, while Obaid Ghazi and Osama took 2 wickets each.
Hence, Sam Lands’ battle came to an end as the overs finished. They were unable to chase the score, credit to the monstrous bowling from the opponents.
