Jubilee Insurance defeated Midas Safety in a match of the 31st Challengers Corporate Cup.
Batting first, Midas Safety struggled to put runs on the board as they lost one opener for a golden duck and the other for just 9 runs. However, one down batsman Ahmer Iqbal smashed 77 off 62 balls, offering some resistance to the bowlers. He was supported by Akram Khan who scored 30 runs. Despite these efforts, the tail-end could not contribute much and got out for single digit scores, reaching only 129 runs. Jubilee’s Muhammad Sumair and Fasi Hassan bagged 3 wickets each.
Jubilee Insurance batted in the second innings and lost one opener for a golden duck, but Muhammad Hafeez scored a composed 20 runs to move the team along. Asim Farooq scored a fantastic half century while Zohaib Rizwan amassed 46 runs off 39 balls. This helped the team chase down their target successfully
