K-Lions faced Haseen Habib in this nail biting encounter of the Southend Premier League. Haseen Habib batted first and were off to a slow start. Aftab Ahmed was the only top order batsman with a significant contribution as he scored 28 runs. After an average performance by the top order, the baton was picked up by Fawad Bari and Jawad Bari. Both of them smashed excellent half centuries and put their team in the driving seat. Fawad took 39 balls to score 54 runs while Jawad Bari scored 58 runs in just 35 deliveries. Yasir Manzoor took 2 wickets for 26 runs. At the end of 20 overs, Haseen Habib posted 164 runs on the board for the loss of 4 wickets.
K-Lions had a difficult start to life in their chase. Two top order batsmen were sent back to the dug out in quick succession. But before this could prove to be a serious threat, Bial Chinioty and Yasir Tanvir produced a match winning partnership. Yasir scored 42 runs off 39 balls while Bilal showed excellent form in his 52 ball innings which resulted in 78 runs. It was the last over when K-Lions chased this target and won the match by 7 wickets.
