Gulshan Strikers batted first against Karachi All-Stars which turned out to be a one sided match. Gulshan Strikers had a fine start as their opener Samad was in great form. Samad played a sensible and mature knock of 47 runs providing his team a stable start. One down Haseeb ur Rehman then continued adding runs to the scoreboard. He individually added 22 runs to the scoreboard. It was then a high time for the following batsmen to go for the big shots but they failed to stick to the plan. Except for the tail-ender Abdul Samad’s quick 19 runs knock, nobody from the middle and lower order amused the spectators. Skipper Ammar Altaf and Muhammed Aamir’s 3 wickets each from Karachi All-Stars played a key role in limiting the opposition to just 129 runs in the allotted 17 overs for the loss of 9 wickets.
Openers of Karachi All-Stars gave a solid and perfect start to their team as Qasim played an unbeatable knock of 72 runs while Faraz Wahid Khan made a quick 27 runs. The opening pair seemed to be in a hurry as they went for hitting the ball all across the park in almost every over though the target was quite easy. Due to the grooving performances by the openers, All-Stars managed to chase the target in 12.2 overs with the loss of 3 wickets. Sameed Mohsin was the highest wicket-taker for Strikers picking up 2 wickets
