Karachi All Stars batted first against Shan XI and lost opener Yousuf Amir cheaply early on in the innings. The team however recovered easily with the help of opener Faraz Wahid and one down Shehryar Niazi who scored 41 and 43 runs respectively to help propel the team's total. The team however continued to lose wickets regularly throughout the innings but cameos by the squad helped boost Karachi All Stars to a defendable 178 for 7 in 20 overs. For Shan XI, Fayyaz Mukati picked up a couple of wickets with the rest of the unit chipping in.
In response, Shan XI's opener Kamran Ibrahim scored a brilliant 87 runs but in vain as none of the other batsmen could keep their wickets intact. 9 of the players were dismissed in single digits as Shan XI collapsed under a brilliant bowling attack by Karachi All Stars. Ammar Altaf and Muhammad Amir were the key wicket takers with 3 scalps each, decimating the Shan XI line up. Saud also took 2 wickets to further cause damage to the opposition. Shan XI were bowled out for 129 in 19 overs.
