Karachi All-Stars batted first in a friendly match against Winning XI. They had a good start as both their openers scored thirties. Qasim made 32 while Sheheriyar scored 33 runs. Skipper Ammar Altaf then came at one-down position and made some valuable 41 runs. His innings helped All-Stars to reach to a total score of 169 runs. Fayaz Imtiaz was the only wicket-taking bowler for winning XI who picked up 1 wicket.
Winning XI in their turn lost wickets in regular intervals in an attempt to play fast. Except for the openers Arif and Adnan, nobody dared to get themselves into the competition. Arif scored 30 and Adnan made 38 runs. 7 of the batsmen of Winning XI did not even bother to enter into the double figures. Ammar Altaf’s 4 wickets from All-Stars played a vital role in bowling the opposition out for 143 runs in 20 overs. Anas and Amir also picked up 2 wickets each.
Karachi All-Stars clinched the victory by 26 runs.
