Karachi Gladiators Steal Victory

Karachi Gladiators v Karachi Tigers (18 over match)

Karachi Gladiators batted first and were off to a solid start with a half century opening partnership. Both openers Fahad Wakeel (25) and Asad Rogatia (29) set the foundation for big total. The rest of the team however were unable to capitalize on this start and lost wickets too frequently. Farid Kasi was the only other notable contributor for his side, scoring a much needed 33 runs. Tigers bowler did well to pick up 2 wickets for his side, limiting the opposition. Karachi Gladiators set a target of 161 in 18 overs.

In response Karachi Tigers were off to a disastrous start, losing their opener Danish for duck. Talha (37) and Faizan (48) did well to stabilize the side and give their team a fighting chance but were unable to get their team over the line. The rest of the team simply threw away their wickets, unable to play the bowlers. It was an incredible display of bowling by the Gladiators with Asad Rogatia and Jalal Owais ripping through the opposition, taking 2 and 3 wickets respectively. Karachi Tigers scored 156 in 17 overs and were unable to chase down the target.
